Therapy for Teens (13+) in St. Petersburg, FL

A Note to Teens:
You Deserve to Feel Excited About Life
Anxiety can make everything feel overwhelming—school, friendships, big decisions, even the things you actually want to do. Instead of feeling excited, you feel stuck in overthinking, stress, or self-doubt.
Here’s the truth: you are not "too sensitive" or "too much." Anxiety doesn’t mean you’re broken—it just means your brain is trying to keep you safe in a world that can feel like a lot.
Therapy is a space just for you. You don’t have to filter yourself, worry about being judged, or feel like you have to "fix" anything. Together, we’ll work on tools to help you manage stress, build confidence, and feel more in control of your life.
A Note to Parents & Guardians:
Watching your teen struggle with anxiety can be frustrating, heartbreaking, and confusing all at once. You just want to help, but they either shut down, lash out, or tell you “I’m fine” when you know they’re not.
Anxiety in teens is real, and it’s not just a phase. It can impact their self-esteem, friendships, and ability to enjoy life the way they should. In therapy, your teen will have a safe space to develop tools for managing stress, handling social pressures, and building confidence in themselves.
Balancing Independence & Family Communication
I believe therapy should be a space where teens can be open and honest, and I know that parents play an important role in their child’s healing. That’s why I have a check-in every 8 sessions to ensure I stay updated on family dynamics, stressors, and any changes at home. While your teen’s confidentiality is my priority, I will always communicate with you about any safety concerns.
My Approach
I know how overwhelming anxiety can feel, especially as a teen. It can cloud excitement, make everyday life feel exhausting, and leave you second-guessing your teen second guessing themselves at every turn. But with the right support, it doesn’t have to stay that way.
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 10 years of experience working with kids and teens in both therapy and youth development. I specialize in helping teen girls (13+) navigate anxiety, self-doubt, and the emotional weight of past experiences.
Using a compassionate and evidence-based approach, I help teens:
✔ Understand their anxiety instead of feeling controlled by it
✔ Develop tools to manage stress, friendships, and school pressures
✔ Build self-trust and confidence in their decisions and emotions
✔ Work through anxiety or painful experiences in a safe, supportive space
